Hi friends,
Some of you may have noticed that the Race Week Recap hasn’t been appearing every week lately, so I wanted to give a proper update on what’s been going on and what to expect moving forward.
Back in July, I was notified that I would be let go from my full-time job. Since then, I’ve been running out my severance period, which continues until January. That has naturally taken up a lot of time and focus, between processing the change and preparing for what comes next. The good news is that I already have something new lined up starting in January.
For anyone who doesn’t know: my main job is in the tech industry. My role as a Press Officer in ELMS is part-time, and the Race Week Recap has always been something I’ve done purely as a hobby because I enjoy it. With everything happening over the past months, and with my schedule changing again in January, it has become harder to keep up with producing a recap every single week without stressing over the timing.
So the format is going to shift. Instead of trying to maintain a weekly schedule, I want the freedom to dig into the stories and ideas that feel the most interesting, meaningful, or overlooked. That might be analysis, behind-the-scenes context, or topics that don’t usually get attention from mainstream outlets. I’ll post whenever there’s something I genuinely feel is worth exploring in depth. It may be once a week. It may be once a month. Or anywhere in between.
And if there’s a topic you’d like me to dive into, you’re always welcome to reach out. I’m very open to suggestions and happy to look into things readers are curious about.
Thank you to everyone who reads, engages, and follows along. Your support genuinely means a lot, and I’m looking forward to continuing to share stories and perspectives that deserve a closer look, just in a way that’s more realistic and sustainable for me going forward.
